So Instead of going to VF, My friends Matt, Jerusha and Holly and I went to the Orchestra. When the concert was over we all hiked over to Baker's Square for something sweet to finish off the perfect evening with. On my actual birthday I went to Aunt Ginny and Uncle Steve's for dinner, as always I had a crazy- fun time at the DeNeui house. I may post more pix later, but I thought I would see what everyone thought of these.
I thought I would tell you that poor Buffy(sarah F) couldn't join us on the VF night, cause she was working, but we got a picture with her b/4 we left for Orchestra Hall. By the way, my friend Matt is every bit as crazy as he looks.
James...are you and Holly holding hands under the table? A closer look may prove me right!!!!
And seriously...that picture of USD has got to be one of the funniest to ever hit the Martin blog!!!

no there is no hand holding. while I wouldn't be apposed to the idea of holding hands(audience gasps) there are rules against such lascivious conduct. since Holly is a floor leader... I thought it best not to hold hands. If we do get to that point I will let you all know(hahaha...whatever) right now Hol and I are just friends.

Laura - you are too funny! I was thrown off by Sara's quick reply, and did not follow through to spot the humor! But I love it! Next time I'll be on it. I am enjoying it, even if I am late. It can't be that I'm aging, though.

Dudes, this weekend I went through a McDonald's drive through with some buddys of mine, and the guy who gave us our food was named Libby. I'm not even kidding, last time I checked Libby was a girl name, I just laughed and laughed when I saw his name tag that said, "Hi I'm Libby"

Well, I for one miss the sparring. I've had to make up for the lack of stimulating arguments by starting disagreements with my husband! How unusual for us!
Oh Laura, I completely missed your humor. COMPLETELY!!! I thought you actually knew a Jerusha Lem or her parents or something. You truly have a deep sense of humor. It takes thought to understand, and once you do, it is the best.

I am calling Melanie to make sure she finds a way to get on-line and read your tragic tale, USD, which moved me to tears - of laughter at least! Poor Winnie! What's with the vet anyway? AND poor Ginny - it is no fun to say goodbye to a pet. Let's hope Sabre, being so much smaller than 75 pounds, goes quickly.
ps - Next time, feel free to take a trip to the farm and let Grandpa Lindstrom help you out with the painless passing of pets.
well, mom, I don't see how that story could have brought any laughter. It was horrible. It reminded me of when I went with my dad to put our puppy to sleep. Just a horrible memory, and Sabra's death was peaceful. I would just have passed out there in the terror room if I'd have been in aunt ginny's shoes. My heart goes out to you DeNeui's.
usd, now you have done it = Melanie will never again want a pet. You are right to notice that the potential of Melanie being like her Aunt Ginny.
Much to my dismay, when i read Rick the tragic tale, he was in stitches of laughter. I reprimanded him strongly. He said, "you have to admit, Uncle Steve is funny." He also wants to make it known that he has never wanted a pet (for different reasons than why i don't want one). I don't want a pet because I cannot deal with them dying, it's just too painful.
