Martin Clan
We are a group of cousins (firsts, seconds, thirds, fourths...) who at our great-grandmothers funeral decided to stay in touch despite the hurdles of distance and lifes business! Through the example of our Great Grandparents, Grandparents and Parents we have learned the importance of family. So may the lines and (typed) keys of communication remain busy! I love you guys!!!

HUH????Farkel----Spicy Farkel??? You's "Jims'" needs to helps out the runt of the "Shirls'" on the "Farkels'"!
This weather is GREAT!!
I think it's accurate to say, "Winter has been officially canceled!"
All I can say is my profile is obviously not my most photogenic angle, although I have not really found any angle that works well for me! But yes, it IS "Noble Char." Thank you for that clarification, Ralph!
You'd love Farkel, Aunt B! We must introduce it to everyone at BL.
LOVE this weather - even if it is a little unreal.
And thanks to James for posting! Love the argyle photo. James and Maria fly back to MN tomorrow - I'm going to miss them!!
Sad to see I missed out on some fun!! Happy birthday to the BEST looking grandpa in the WORLD!!
I LOVE farkel! I haven't played it out here yet... but- can't wait to introduce it to the Kennedy's!!
Hope you all are off to a great and blessed 2007! We have had the greatest Christmas/New Year's with the kids home and both sides of grandparents here.
Farkel is a good game even for those of us who generally party-poop out when it is game time.
It will be a hit at Bass Lake 07. It is a dice game and you can buy it at game stores (very inexpensive) and it is very compact so as to be available for play whenever the spirit moves.
"R" we missed you for all the action on New Years (we missed Mell and Rick too!) but we are excited for your exciting transitions and coming wedding.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE JIM FROM ALL THE "JEFFS" How nice to be able to celebrate with your PA family!
I'm looking forward to this new game of Farkel...perhaps Char... it could be a course offered at BLA (Bass Lake Academy), you know, it is never to early to begin planning the curriculum so we can offer only the finest in education to the family!
:-)I'm so happy that I'm not the only one in the dark about Farkel! If AuntMyrt doesn't know about it (the pro!) then this is ABSOLUTELY cutting edge gaming we're talking about here!
Sounds like fun!!
Happy Birthday to Uncle Jim!!!
Spicy Farkel??????? I need to check this out. I am absolutley addicted to farkel, I play it with my friends every chance I can.
I forgot to say on my last comment...
"Welcome back Sara in the city"!
Thanks Laura! It's nice to be welcomed back! It'll probably be just a quick visit though, as I will be starting up classes again this weekend. I'm taking TWO accelerated courses this semester and traveling A LOT for work, so my free time to surf the net and check up on all you Martins is sadly slim.
We have no way of knowing whether or not Unca Bob is cheating because he holds the rules. I will say that he does not always win! In fact, the last game we played together he did pretty poorly.
that was because of how close he was sitting to Charnoble! (correction, NOBLE CHAR!)
Cleopatra is right! Beware sitting next to the powerful, yet noble, Char!
We were all dazzled by E's new Egyptian look. Isn't she a doll? Perhaps she could offer a course in positive image changing while staying sweet and wonderful at the same time.
In that picture of bittles, mergs and james, I was glad to see you had planned ahead and decided to all wear your argile. It's the first thing I noticed.
I am jealous of the warm weather and flowers blooming! I hope that doesn't ruin things for the spring.
Hi, Melanie! We were hoping you'd notice that J&M wore your gifts on New Year's Day. Very observant! That is my concern, too - we must still have spring! But I think we will as ths nights have been nice and cold, so not much else had a chance to bloom yet.
Yippee SKIPPY!!!! My wonderful fiance got me some internet this weekend!;-))))) I'm so excited to once again be part of the blogging world! And regarding the weather!!! As long as it's a balmy 75 dry degrees on May 20th up on the North Shore... all other days can be as cold as the Artic;-) kehheee!
Yay for R - welcome back to the REAL world!
Good to have you back on a regular basis R' You have been missed!!!
Hey Laura... any wedding tips for me?! It's only 4 months away and I feel so... irresponsible... I really haven't done much since moving out here! Would love if you had a catch- list of things brides often miss/forget! HEEEEeeeeeeeeeeellllllppp!
pretty please;-)
Hey R'...aka "Miss Irresponible"
Go online to Google and type in
Checklist for brides and search. It will bring up a ton, I went into the first two listings, much great info...the 2nd one has a timetable you may find helpful?
This will help you organize your thoughts and will bring up things you had not thought of. Remember all things on these lists will not pertain to you as you customize your special day!
Hey Thanks, excellent idea!! I'm definately going to try it out! I need to get going again on the planning!;-) 4 months 3 days Whoo-hoooooo!
