Martin Clan
We are a group of cousins (firsts, seconds, thirds, fourths...) who at our great-grandmothers funeral decided to stay in touch despite the hurdles of distance and lifes business! Through the example of our Great Grandparents, Grandparents and Parents we have learned the importance of family. So may the lines and (typed) keys of communication remain busy! I love you guys!!!

aww man! SOOOO cute!!!! Its a good thing Joel has all those girls to straighten him out and keep him up to date with his fashion and hair sense!
Hello everyone and happy summer to you all!! We are all doing great and appreciate all your prayers and kind words. Ellie is doing great and we thank God for her safe arrival. Sandy is feeling good and we are enjoying a newborn in our home again. Jane and Maggie are busy "helping" mom and generous with their hugs and kisses. I am doing well, but realizing that our next home improvement project is going to have to be an extra bathroom!! Yikes!! Bass Lake is quickly approaching...looking forward to seeing you ALL there.
Love,
Joel, Sandy, Jane, Maggie, and Ellie
CONGRATULATIONS! You guys are so blessed! Sandy you look fabulous for a Mommy of 3. Alot of "pms" in your future Joel! (just ask Josh or Bob about that)Best wishes to you all. Can't wait to see you at Bass Lake.
that was "Ralph cramden" aka merily for the last blog. Why can't we fix this frustration ?????
Congratulations Joel and Sandy! I'm so happy for you guys. She is absolutely adorable!!! Hope to see you all at Bass Lake next month.
Karen
so joel... was it the fact that you now have three daughters or the fact that nightmares of bass lake have been staring you down in the middle of the night...that you decided to get going on that second bathroom???
could you please pass along a message to sandy that she should pack her bags, but not for bass lake, as she will be getting kidnapped by by a most gracious, merciful friend...we'll be heading to a spa for mothers and their newborn babies...i'm sure you and the others will be having such a good old time you will not even notice our absence...
ta-ta for now!
Poor Anonymous! My memories of Bass Lake would never give me nightmares. I have only wonderful dreams of family, singing, laughter, great food.
Aunt Char
I'm sure Bass Lake has a "spa" for new mothers...What else do ya think that pee green water is good for??!!! and the mud at the bottem is a great mask to absorb all your troubles of the skin and the soul! Can't wait
Ah yes, Merily and I (Char) both brought our new-borns to Bass Lake, so we should know!
Ryan was 3 weeks old at his 1st Bass lake and hasn't missed one since! He just turned 21 last Friday(july 13th). Wow, what a legacy...ha ha. We'll make sure your cabin is "aroma therapy certified" Sandy, and remember there is always the beauty shop for your manicures, pedicures and lastest hairdo's.
The beauty shop will include baby-care, I'm sure! And you will never find better jams or jellies than the Martins provide to accompany the renowned breakfast toast! What more could a mom and newborn want? Aunt Char
Can you go that spa for new mothers even if you don't have a newborn? I'm sure there are many of us gals who would gladly offer our babysitting services for the chance to relax at a spa!:)Let's see--- Bass Lake: mosquitos, no a/c, filthy, pea green lake, gross restrooms,etc.....Spa:clean rooms and bathrooms, a/c, sparkling clear water...
Where do we sign up?!;)
Forget the spa---I believe there is a special dispensation for mothers of newborns and heavily pregnant women. We understand if you prefer to stay in the comfort of your home.(Although your baby may develop a hearty immune system while being exposed to the various fungi, bacteria and other creepy-crawlies at Bass Lake!:)Stay home...there's always next year!
I'm glad I had no gracious, merciful friends trying to persuade me away from Bass Lake - the land of the truly blessed!
Amen...that so called friend is no more then a traitor!
Here Here Laura, I agree!
Can anyone tell me why some still are apparently able to use their original names and some can't on this blog?
You have to re-sign up. under the box that you write your comment in you will see the "choose an Identity" section...under where you would type your password it says "No Google account? Sign up here. Go through the steps and you should be all set!
Oh, and I need Rebeka's e-mail address or a phone number. Could you help me with that "Ralph"?
Never mind about Rebeka's #'s, I got them!
