MARTIN CAMP !!!
I decided to post a picture of Mergs and Bittles taken from a more fair angle
Little Maggie
At least Uncle Bob is enjoying the day in his bathing suit and flip flops, with Max by his side. The Jury is still out as to what Gramma and Aunt Merily were thinking about
Special thanks to Jeff and Ryan, two invaluable members of the breakfast crew
Those pankakes got us through the day

If it seems like you are only seeing pictures of Jim's family and Jerry's family, it is because they are the ones who SHOWED UP for the fun, excitement, FOOD, and relaxation that only Bass Lake gives.
Now, Maria and Bits - the crack of dawn does occur before noon. That may be news to you, but really, the sun does rise before the 12:00 hour of the day. ALTHOUGH, it is true you may have risen a little earlier on that day in question for the BIG GROUP PICTURE taken before the departure of the motorcycle pair.
Yes, folks, Bass Lake 2005 featured a biker dude and a biker chick all the way from Montana on their Harley. It was a first for Bass Lake. The newlyweds had their very own honeymoon cabin complete with AC, next door to the teen girls - what could be nicer?
Oops - must mention that we loved having the Tim Martin family as well, so Uncle Ralph's family was well-represented. Julie did a great job with the Wednesday night meal - enjoyed by all. And their 3 girls are beautiful!
Gotta love that Jay and Shelle Martin family! Check out the smiles.
Its good to see pictures from Bass Lake, it brings back so many memories! Im glad to see that my father made himself quite at home in his swimming suit(and do you think he actually went swimming? NO!) Yes even if it was a small group I had so much fun!
And to that remark from Aunt Char about the sun rising before noon!-I did indeed rise before than due to someone choosing 9:00 for the little photo shoot(how dare they!) and Im just so happy Uncle Jim captured that moment at breakfast!
Let me remind you who actually dictated that 9:00 photo - those who were leaving: the JAY MARTIN FAMILY, and the BIKER DUDE AND CHICK. And another thing - anyone else could have thought of it much sooner. Because no one else comes up with the idea, someone has to eventually just say it must be done in order to preserve our memories.
Oh, please tell us how the trip went with the puppy and how he is adjusting to his new home in the east!
Even though I feel quite out of place commenting on this post- seeing as though I was not one of the fortunate few who experienced family camp this year... I must toss in a comment about my little Mr. Bo
I LOVE him-- he is the cutest thing! I wish he would stay that little and pudgy!!!:-)
Yes Booboo did an excellant job travling...I must say that it didnt look good in the beginning when he started barking and whinning but than he calmed down and turned into quite the little travler! He is just too cute and is growing by the second!
Love the picture of "my guys" right where they belong...in the Kitchen! The pancakes were some of the best I have ever eaten!! I must admit...if there is anything delicious coming out of our kitchen in the am...Jeff usually is responsible!!!
I too want to thank Tim and Julie and fam for being at camp and for cooking the "wednesday night" meal, it was wonderful...next year Julie said that she might even stay at the camp and give up her "DIVA" ways of the 4 **** hotel accomodations she is used to staying in in Blue earth!!!Haha!
Let's all be her accountability partners and make sure she doesn't go back to her princess roots!
Well thank you(Im assuming it was James) for putting a more acurate picture of me in the morning! I mean that is the actuall picture and the other naster one was one that he fixed up using someone elses nasty face! glad to see that we have that all straightened out!
Okay... Peedster and Mergs-- you have now been exonerated! Much better photo!!:-) I always did say people look so much better WITHOUT make-up!:-)!!! (He-he)!
Julie is willing to give up hte luxury in town for the luxury by the lake! This is wonderful - especially as she is such a great cook.
Nothing beats Martin men in the kitchen in the morning in our house either. Great that they brings their talents to camp - many thanks!
The picture of the TRUE beauties at breakfast is sure to bring the crowds back next summer. And that is what we really see every morning, well sometimes not until noon, but James definitely found the right angle to take the photo. I hope he can take some pictures of me too.
Sorry for all my errors!
How funny that you brought up the love song- serenades! I just wrote a comment about that on the other post!! Nice to see you giving credit to where credit is due!
well well well! it is nice to see Ryan is letting his voice be known. It's ok if you were only the batter boy ryan, where would the world be if it wasn't for the batter boys of the world, where would we be(those griddle guys are always stealing the thunder). major props to ya!
Who needs celebrity look-alikes? We have the real thing at Bass Lake with J. Liz and Kateria!
Wow Aunt Char...look at you gettin' all creative! Who needs the tabloids anyway. Us Martins are much more interesting. Pretty soon we're going to be able to demand a subscription to the familymartin97 blog. I think our circulation would swell instantly.
Sara-badara. Jim asked the same question. Guess you're a little too subtle there, Sara!
And Ryan, I understood perfectly that you were responding with sarcasm because of all OUR comments of praise for your cute pictures! Of course you're not conceited when taken in context! None of us are!
Wow...I've unleashed a blogger animal...aka...ryan. If you note the time he posted his last comment...5:59 am. Thanks to you aunt char for "understanding" ryan and his non-conceited ways! hahahaha. It is sooooo fun to read EVERYONES comments...such a fun and hysterical family we are(if i do say so myself!)
I beleive we are one of the craziest families around. One everyone wants to be a part of.
I chose 10-Sars-a-swimming instead of 10 Swans-a-Swimming. But then I realized it should be 7 Swans-a-Swimming (must be that blonde hair again)!
And you say I'm the blonde of the family:-)! I love that sign-on name!!!
And yeah Ryan!!! It should be illegal to post on the Martin site at that unsightly hour!!!
Well, two hours off could even be considered Montana time - guess what's always in the back of my mind! I was pretty sure little Bits was not up posting at 7:03 a.m. either, although I must say, she did get up with those puppies at the cabin - what a gal!
Sara, we were laughing so hard at your explanation of 10-sars changed to 7-sars. True blonde - we love it.
Ryan, you have my full support in this one. Emily, you need to understand that when one is at college, he is tired beyond belief and tries to get all the sleep he can possibly get, Therefore common sense would tell you that Ryan, being a college student would not, of his own accord, wake up b/4 6 AM just so he could post a comment, or would you ryan(please say no). This poor lemonade stand needs all the chill time he can get, no-one likes warm lemonade.
Yo 7 Sars! I love your comment about the blog being better than the tabloids. It is so true though, who needs tabloid slime from the check out line when you have this blessed blog. With this you get the good the bad and the ugly about the martins, what could be better?
Yippy Skippy! It looks like we have the old ridiculously good looking ryan back. I must admit I was getting a little bit worried when the whole humble pie thing started coming up. Way to go ryan!
Apparently several of you Martins pay really close attention to the small details in life. I never even noticed that the time is posted under each blog.
This just verifies my fear that I barely pick up on the big things in life, let alone the little things!
It wasn't the three very large (and may I add "delicious" --Ryan and Jeff) pancakes that Mergs and Bittles ate that morning that concerned me. (Their appearance tells me they desperately needed them.) It was the bowls of cereal that followed that had me gasping. (I think Aunt Sue was gaspin as well.) But then, who can argue with the transformation that came to these girls once they had that filling breakfast! Maybe I'll have to give it a try.
Well after being away for a while I decided to look back at what everyone has been up to on this blog(and keep them in line) I see that Ryan has been back to his old ways making sure we all know how incredibly good looking and cool he is! And as for James's "Yippy Skippy" I was cracking up at that...maybe Im just so tired that I'll laugh at anything he says!
Good attempt Ryan... However... I don't think you're going to be recieving the attention you had hoped! You see -There's just something about yippy-skippy that exudes humor and childhood innocence! Okey-dokey on the other hand is kind of hickish and well... just not all that funny! So! Your craveing for attention and fame on the Martin Blog will have to wait! I do however appreciate the attempt!
(lol... amidst all my nonesense - (just trying to keep ya humble) I do think okey dokey is a humorous one)!
Rebeka may even be better at this bittersweet stuff than her aunt Char!
Oh my goodness!!!! I don't know how I never saw this thing before!!! The breakfast beauties are incredible!!!! i LOVE IT! And then...the comments are SOOOOOO funny!!!!! It's hard to keep up. On my next day off, I'll have to take a few hours to read these comments more carefully
