A beautiful day at Philadelphia's Fairmount Waterworks

A group of adults from our church toured the restored waterworks October 29.

Hey, what are these two doing in our picture?

Mell and Rick had some of their wedding pictures taken at this site last June 4.

For the briefest moment I had a different set of pictures posted -- ones showing Char gazing and peering at the wonders of the site. I was very proud of myself for remembering my digital camera and for learning to post pictures. I was eager to show off my work -- only to be slapped down with threats if I did not remove such horrible pictures. Discerningly I deleted and went back to the drawing board and reposted!
We had a great day. The waterworks are quite an engineering achievement for their day (early 1800's) and were quite educational for all. If any of you choose to pay a visit and see our fair city, the recently renovated waterworks should be on your "to do" list.

Thanks Uncle Jim for the pictures! What a wonderful husband you are!...Aunt Char! -seeing those kind of photos on the blog- is what captivates our audience!! The nastier the better!!

One of these days I'll have to take a trip down to Philly to see the Waterworks! And it was wonderful to see another Mel/Rick wedding picture... such a fun day!

Isn't he a sweetheart? How he ever catches such bad pictures of such a normally photogenic wife is a mystery! lol
