Martin Clan
We are a group of cousins (firsts, seconds, thirds, fourths...) who at our great-grandmothers funeral decided to stay in touch despite the hurdles of distance and lifes business! Through the example of our Great Grandparents, Grandparents and Parents we have learned the importance of family. So may the lines and (typed) keys of communication remain busy! I love you guys!!!

Oh little Peedster- what a Hoot & a Hollar!! You guys are hysterical- I'm sure you caused quite a ruckus at school today!!! Did you win the best dressed award?
You've got Melania beat 100% hands down on the cuteness scale:-)!!!
Love ya Little!
I knew my dear sister would be the first to comment... surprise surprise!!! Unfortuantly they didnt have a contest but we so would have won!
Hey, could I borrow your hair?
Hey Merily, that's kinda scary!
Elizabeth--you and Jake are hilarious!!!! good work! tell Jake I said hi for me, would ya?
Thanks, Danielle (aka Miss Proulx!)
Leave it to Elizabeth! Too funny. At least your friend has the hair down!
Hi, Danielle!
Hello, Mrs. Martin!!
Elizabeth, I did not even know this was you, I had to call Emily to the computer to see if she knew who "this girl" was. She took one look and said "that's Elizabeth"...
I guess I was used to the "Bass Lake Elizabeth" not this "dressed for success beauty"!!! You must admit that this is a far stretch from the previously posted pics of you from camp...a vision of you and Maria eating pancakes pops into my mind! lol
Yes and see I knew that picture from Bass Lake would injure my reputation of always being "beautiful"! And as for Uncle Grant...I think you would look wonderful with my hair(good choice, Ill go get some chopped off and made into a wig for you!)
I so LOVE "The Donald". I have got to be one of his biggest fans. I even have his doll that talks sitting on my desk at work. Way to go Miss Thang!! Love the constume idea.
Okay, Josh's friend is SO Aunt Jill!!!
I think that "your Donald" has better hair then the real Donald!
Someone in the "beauty/fashion industry need to step up to the plate and give that man a make-over...He is a nightmare!
If you were wondering...thats how I really feel about it! haha!
P.S. If you are missing the almost daily "insights" by Uncle Jeff, he is in Canada fishing until Sunday, (probably going through serious "blogging withdrawl" himself!)He is with Joel, Chris Carls, and Nate Daggett(a good friend of Joels)
Olny srmat poelpe kan raed tihs! Ist amzanig houw srmat tohse Mraitns aer. It msut bee tohse spureoir gnese. I wsih I wree a Mraitn. Yuo poelpe aer soe lcuky!
Hey Sara! Josh's frend is sooooo not me! I still think it's Maria!
I am wondering if Josh has an imaginary friend even tho it doesn't seem that he talks to that friend unless he does it in his sleep.
What about Uncle Jay as the "frend?" Did I already suggest that once?
The blog misses you, Jeff! How was fishing?
Whoofta- we need some more photos on this thing!!! It's getting stale again- and you know what happens when things get stale on the blog... I may be starting another family fued!
Maybe we could post a picture of our dimly lit home. One "leg" or whatever of our electric is off, so only some lights or appliances work, and they are in danger of shutting down as well. An electrician is coming soon, we hope! Meanwhile, we may have to move in to our neighbors' house while they're in sunny Florida!
Now wouldn't that be an exciting picture!!
Aunt Char.... On Saturday I had 8 people over for dinner.... we decided to play pictionary- and of course it was guys against girls- Starting off the girls were ahead- then, I had to leave for about 20 minutes- when I came back- much to my chagrin - I saw that the girls were way behind and the guys only a shake or two away from victory! So- I had to get down to business- and you know what?.... sure enough- the girls ended up beating out the guys!!! INCREDIBLE! I have yet to lose in pictionary when playing guys against girls! Too bad I won't be around for Thanksgiving- but with Pd and Maria- I'm sure the ladies can hold there own!
~R
Congratulations, Rebeka! What a credit to our gender you are! Way to keep the tradition alive. We never fail. And yes, if Maria and Bittles are there, we will win again. I think you and Melanie have your equal in teamwork in those two.
Thanks for the comment - made my day!
ps - we are in business again! We have full electricity! The main problem was outside - the connections up by the roof, where there was a short. And then there was a minor problem in the basement. It was a relatively simple, and he even fixed the wire to the garage so we have power there now too. What a relief!
Hey Rebeka! How 'bout posting the pic I sent to you with all the cousins in front of the fountain
Are you haters like the men we ladies play against at the major holidays in PA? Do you lose all the time? Just wondering, because that would certainly make you hate the game. I MAY be wrong, repeat MAY be wrong, but I sense a little bitterness, and am wondering if it's because what you really hate is LOSING. Just wondering, no accusations here.
Men who lose to girls at Pictionary are not weenies. I'm sure Uncle Bob would agree.
Nice to see your ego is intact as usual, Ryan!
I did not notice this myself, being directionally challenged, but Maria pointed out that we ladies from PA do not go "down" to Bass Lake. Check your map, Ryan. You're starting to sound like me - and what could be worse?
Joel, we're going with homemade pizza tonight - are you and your family free to come?
See, it just hit me that Joshes Frend could quite possibly be Aunt Ginny. I think it's either Ginny or Jill, and since Jill flat out denies it, I'm thinking Ginny, BUT, Ginny is so busy, and the whole time I lived with them, i never ONCE saw her on the computer. I dont know though, right now my vote's with her.
Whoah-whoah whoah! THis barrage of nasty words and slanderous accusations against my social manners is appauling!
Let me clarify for those who deemed it necissary to question my etiquette! I left the pictionary game for 20 minutes- b/c we had a late party memeber who was having severe difficulty finding the house! I was outside on a cell phone- trying to direct him to the right location- and once he got to the house- I then, being the gracious host that I am, made up a plate of food for him-- and made sure he was well fed- and beveraged up! So- Thank- You- Very- MUCH Jeffery, Jeff and Ryan oh- and you too Joel Pete!
And with my nose up in the air--- I say.... bring it on!
Ryan should know.
No- it was not hunkariffic Jerry- he's coming tomorrow night!
Man- you sure are brutal- I thought us Martin's were being nice to eachother- I guess you didn't get the memo!
What is it about you Rebeka that evokes such emotion from the Martin/Erickson Men? Is it just that you can take it as well as dish it out...or are you just a scapegoat for all their pent up humor that needs an avenue of escape? Whichever, it does make for entertaining reading :)
Not to worry, Rebeka, you have the complete support of all the JIM Martin men. It's those Jerrys who seem to need the "scapegoat."
It seems to me that the Jim Martin Men are not very active bloggers Char, which doesn't indicate support...
just lack of involvement...
Just a clarification :)
But the times the JIM men do blog, they do not take the opportunity to tease R mercilessly as the Jerrys do! However, they who love much tease much. That "proverb" was first told me in French, which was more romantic sounding by far! But all the teasing is just proof R is much loved.
Josh's Friend is so you Uncle Steve! You can call me up at the Met-Pro desk and proclaim your innocense- but it's so you!!!! I know it is!!!
Hey R. do you think Joshes frend could be Elizabeth? Ok fess up girl, we know it's you!
