Martin Clan
We are a group of cousins (firsts, seconds, thirds, fourths...) who at our great-grandmothers funeral decided to stay in touch despite the hurdles of distance and lifes business! Through the example of our Great Grandparents, Grandparents and Parents we have learned the importance of family. So may the lines and (typed) keys of communication remain busy! I love you guys!!!

i am not sure what this blog is supposed to mean. please enlighten us.
I LOVE Love Park!!! I can't wait to be working downtown so I can start exploring! James...you and I will have to hook up during your lunch breaks so you can show me all the cool finds!!
Perhaps James is calling us back to peaceful banter on the blog.
The first picture- a picture of the love fountain in Philly- a couple pictures of cousins- enjoying each others company finished with a beautiful picture of the North shore.
Some are not enjoying this torrent of mean and spiteful exchange... Life is too short to dwell on such things... I believe James is merely calling us back to the beauty of life and the wonderfulness of family!
No Worries anonymous...the martin love is thicker than the (humorous) blog banter! The martin sarcasm and humor is just a dominant trait that courses through several family members veins! Have no doubt that the "LOVE THAT BINDS" is in tact!!!
P.S. why anonymous? don't be shy!
Whoever anonymous is certainly identified the pictures correctly! Thank you!
James posted the pictures and then had to hurry on with the next thing in his life, didn't have time to comment, and hasn't checked in since.
I guess the Love Park statue is "art." Oh well, it is kind of fun, and definitely a Philadelphia thing. I think the cousins look like the Bobbsey twins. James snapped the North Shore shot to show people that the water is indeed the color Don Koestner depicted in our painting. Not sure how they all connect - but they were highlights of James' summer.
Whenever you think the exchanges are mean or spiteful, just picture us dishing out and receiving between roars of laughter - all in fun!
It's also possible that James needed something other than the dog picture to look at!
I think that this anonymous person was correct, I saw that the blog convos were starting to get heated yet again, so I decided to post the pictures and the pic of one of my fav places in the whole world, Love park. Yeah Sar I'll show you all the good spots down there. This is my territory now, I know you know every inch of south street like you know how to speak. South street and center city are completely different. there is a resturant for every taste here, my fav so far is Ciao's Pizza. Oh and by the way mom you're right.
James
Oh my studly Jamers how I miss you. I am excited for you to come back to the blustery cold MN soon. Today was the coldest so far this winter with our first snow and 5* weather right now. My body does not know how to adjust. I know your excited :)!!!!! great pic's!
I cannot imagine how you Minnesotans stand the cold! I know I grew up with it, but I think I'd have a hard time now. I think James will have a tough adjustment, come January!
And Ryan, don't foget to mention that MN is the healthiest state in which to live. Could the variety of weather be one reason as it all cannot be because of the Mayo Clinic can it?
I think a little bit of cold does one good. I think that some think it us ungodly for it to be this cold but if it were would God have put people here to live. I personally think it is not right for people to in smog but they do live in big citys. I think MN is healthy because of the fresh crisp air, ah yes. Nothing like taking on a deep breath on a brisk winter day and freezing the nose hairs. God is good is He not?
I might add that Minnesota is one of the few states that you can experience all 4 seasons in a matter of a few days. Gotta love the snow and enjoy it by playing in it. On this note I thot you might want to check out Melissa's blog at http://lavidacrazy.blogspot.com/
Melissa is definitely a snow lover!
