"R" is off to South Africa for the summer!
I just purchased my tickets today!!! I'm traveling with a girl I went to Pilly with and one of her friends. We'll be leaving May 31st and staying in South Africa until August 6th... then we'll fly into Frankfurt Germany and stay with a couple we know from Pillsbury for a week! I will then be flying to Minnesota to spend the last bit of my summer with family!!!
Please pray for all the little details that need to get done these next couple of months! I'm beyond excited that God has opened up this amazing opportunity!

I'm so sorry I haven't called you back... I've been a little busy -- I'm ever so sad you won't be coming to see me- but I hope you have an awesome trip and God works in your heart-and reveals to you the necessity of moving out East!!!
R, what will you be doing in Africa? Fill us in on the details!
I'm going to be staying with Sarah and Kevin Zak- helping tutor their kids and helping Sarah prepare and cook for the different traveling teams that will be coming throughout the summer! We will be working with church ministries -and have opportunities to help out in orphanages and (potentially) hospitals! There's also a chance of a 2-week stay in Mozambique to help with a building project! Basically we're over there- just to help- in any capacity we can!
I'm sad... b/c I thought I'd be able to make a few days of family camp this year- but b/c we're going to Germany-- I won't make it-- I won't be in Minnesota until the 11th of August (I'll just miss it)! BUMMER!

I want to go!! Sometimes the most fun with your friends is when you're working in ministries (I mean the get down and dirty stuff)!! Enjoy yourself and you'd better keep in touch! Love ya!!
I can't imagine how much you'll be missed here in the USA! We'll be praying for you - sounds so exciting.

GERMANY OR BASS LAKE...THERE IS NO QUESTION WHICH ONE THE REST OF US WOULD CHOOSE GIVEN THE SAME SCENARIO!
