Looks like you all had a great day of family fun together. I'm sure you are enjoying your time with Rick & Melanie.

We are having such a great time and are definitely in a non-stop mode here in Fox Chase. DC was lots of fun - we walked miles. Arlington was my favorite part of the day, so impressive.

And hey, everyone, we met EOJ Saturday at a big family picnic gathering. We ALL approve! He's a keeper.

Lots of fun having the head Jim here with his darling wife, too.

I'm much happier going at my own pace. Keep in mind that in order to take the picture, your Uncle Jim was walking even faster. That was the picture of the day - Jim way ahead, the 4 kids in the middle, Char pattering in the back.

Perhaps EOJ should drive in to Bass Lake on a Harley...it sure worked for Rick!
(that's not the only reason we liked you rick, don't worry)

Happy Birthday, Amy! Hope it's a great day! We are looking forward to seeing you soon. You can join the 3-ring circus going on at 8104 Jeanes Street. Really, we do have some calm days, but never when you are here, it seems!

We are so glad you came - you are definitely family, having been initiated into the Memorial Day softball game! You did so well, too, but unfortunately, even your help was not enough to help the youth win. Even without our walkers and oxygen, the hits and throws were there and we won! Yay! I'll admit Rick was a major contributor to our team!

Anyway, I'll make sure R invites you to the wedding (no announcements here, but IF there is ever a wedding. . .) if nothing comes up sooner. You know you are welcome any time - we love having you here.

R&M got off on time this a.m. We left the house about 4:50, getting to the airport before 5:20. The heaviest suitcase was 47.5, I think, so they made it. And the suitcase with the pizza stone was NOT the heaviest! Melanie even had her lavendar plant in a basket as a carry-on. It went through security check with a wasp, which Rick discovered and knocked to the floor and Melanie stepped on. We're glad it was not discovered flying around on the plane!

It IS hard to get back to routine, isn't it?
