We took the chairlift as high as we could and then packed our skis on our back and hiked straight up the mountain to get to the more extreme skiing. Don't worry Grandma and Mom, we had avalanche beepers just in case.

The hike was beautiful and a bit strenuous. Melanie said it was mentally challenging because it was so steep and she felt like the skis on her back would make her tip backwards and go sliding down the mountain. It was a beautiful spring day in Montana and by the time we got to the top we stripped down....to our undershirts.

This is Rick getting some good air and doing a cross on a jump mid-mountain.

Melanie now thinks she is a professional photographer after taking this shot of Rick. This is one of Rick's favorite jumps because he can get about 20 ft of air!

Looks like so much fun! One of these days... I will get daring and go skiing! AND...hopefully I will get out to Montanna to see the cutest little married couple ever!
Wow! The pictures are so great. And I'm sure the comment about avalance beepers will do so much to calm any worry or fear!
Aspen? I've been to Aspen, and let me tell you...you guys have NO reason to go anywhere with skiing like that available to you. Looks like great fun...in a scary, death-defying sort of way. ;D
9:00 PA time, and James and Dorothy are 100 miles from the Montana border. Praise the Lord for good traveling time and safety! Help us pray them through! James should be skiing this week, and Yellowstone's on the agenda, too.
Ummmm... are those clouds floating around below you on the mountain? I don't know about ya'll but I think that I like to reside below the clouds. The scenery is beautiful though. I guess I have had a few to many skiing mishaps to enjoy it.
James and my mom arrived in Bozeman at 3:00 this morning, MT time. Answer to prayer!
And now they are on their way back to MN. Hope James got some pictures to post!
And if anyone is reading this - the trip back to MN from MT went well and I'm sure there was resting up on the farm today.
Oh...we are always reading!
How do we find Joscelyn's blog page? Welcome to her, and nice to hear from Montana girl again! I'm sure you're learning SO MUCH from the recent blogs here!! Will you able to come for Memorial Day? Maria is graduating May 26, so come as early and stay as long as possible. Maybe some time Joscelyn could come too!
It worked! Joscelyn's page is beautiful and fun to read. It will be great to see you in May. I just love looking at these pictures. I'm hoping James will post some of his spring break in Montana, but he's so busy.
