Martin Clan
We are a group of cousins (firsts, seconds, thirds, fourths...) who at our great-grandmothers funeral decided to stay in touch despite the hurdles of distance and lifes business! Through the example of our Great Grandparents, Grandparents and Parents we have learned the importance of family. So may the lines and (typed) keys of communication remain busy! I love you guys!!!

Sorry Ryan...couldn't help myself with that picture!
The following was inspired by the famous poem, “Oranges and lemons,” Say the bells of St. Clement’s.
Oranges and lemons he’s a cryin’,
Say the bells of egotistic Ryan.
That bass lake water smells like fartins’,
Say the bells of all the Martin's.
Lumps in your suit are just my muck cakes?
Say the bells of Old Bass Lake.
Quick, grab a canoe,
Say the bells of Aunt Sue.
The Martin cackles are making me deaf,
Say the bells of Uncle Jeff.
I'm sure we’ll be back next year,
Does that thought bring a cheer or a tear?
That is so stinkin funny!! I seriously was chuckling over- that lemon-head picture for a good 20!!! Way to go Sara-bear-- and I love the poem as well! You're a nut!
Maybe we can squeeze some of that egotism- straight out of that head of yours Ryan!!!:-)
ohhhh now i get it it wouldve helped to read the previous blogs sometimes i wonder if i was born blonde
Hey...watch it pal. A very large portion of your family is blonde.
Which would explain many a~blunder:-) I--- on the other hand am a stark brunette!
respect your elders Rebeka!!! I too am a blonde! lol!
Too funny Sara...kudos to you!
Yes I was almost had heart failure from laughing at the lemon pic and then that little poem from Sar. Uh yeah Josh, you had better watch this blode dissing thing(it looks to me as though you yourself are a dirty dish-rag blonde). Anyhoo, I can't wait to look at the blog every day now. It's great to have the whole Jeff and Laura Martin fam commenting now, keep it up.
If you're as cute as the Holly-dolly--- you can blog at any age!!
Hey everyone, very funny!!! Too bad it's at Ryan's (a.k.a. Mr. Lemonhead)expense! We have pretty much all the pictures back from the wedding now (I think!?!) and will post some in the near future. - Jeff Erickson
Actually Jeff-E has been on board- I remember a comment way back -blogs and blogs ago... he's just one of those sketcy bloggers. He only comments when it suits his fancy! Well, disregard those harsh words and know that anytime you comment- it's enjoyed by all! Can't wait for more pictures of the wedding!
Yes, you really can be mean and nice at the same time - uncle Jim calls it "bittersweet" and is accusing me of it all the time! Way to go Rebeka!
That is probably the best picture I've seen of the dear, Ryana yet! Sara, you should write a book of poetry, as you clearly have the ability to affect people's emotions
Well, Ryan, you know I say such things in fun in the heat of the moment. Really, I think all those others who make such comments are just cruel and unreasonable. You truly are ridiculously good looking, and it's a shame that a member of you family would deface your face, so!
Oh, Puh-lease Melanie - you are as bittersweet as the rest of us - admit it! Enjoy it! And let the sweetness triumph in the end, as you just did. Good girl - you've learned well.
No kidding Mel! Don't think for one second- that you are above the Martin's ways of perfecting their bittersweet ways! Now I will say... You have not stooped to the (bitter) levels of your mom or me... However, I know for a fact- that they still exist in that sweet-persona of yours:-)!!
WOW...I can see that I have my work cut out for me...I am thinking due to the high need, I should start a sign-up list now for my "sweetness" classes at bass lake next summer. From the sounds of things, I may need to add a session (or two). :)
Fortunately, I am not in need of the sweetness class OR the humbleness class. I'm sure our experts in each are will be wonderful though!
Oops, sorry, "are" should be "area." I must slow down so that my true perfection is more obvious. Oops, again, I'm sounding like a candidate for humbleness class!
Maybe we could team teach Maria :)
