Joe Kennedy Strikes Again

Business at the banks is hurting forcing Mr. Kennedy to turn to Giant parking lot muggings

His victom? Our very own Ralph Cramden. That's right, we're blaming this one on Joe.
Just last Wednesday night Merily Nelson was loading her car up with groceries, purse on arm, when all the sudden she felt a tug. Figuring it was just a friend pulling her leg she turned around to find a man she had never seen before in her life. "He was just a shrimp of a man", Merily said when we asked her what he looked like. My first thoughts went right to Joe. "He had a receding hairline and looked like a little nerd." Well that sealed it for me, it HAD to be Joe...who else fits that description? Merily started to scream which scared the man who than turned and ran. A car pulled up and he hopped in. Merily said a red Cherokee took off after the car right away. A woman, who heard her screams, asked what just happened and Merily informed her a man just tried to grab her purse. The woman told Merily to call the police. After talking to the police Merily was asked to identify the man, unfortuanatly Joe Kennedy was not an option.

Poor Joe gettin the blame for such things. "R", did you warn him about this family? Hopefully, we won't scare him off. We wouldn't want you to become an ol' spinster pining for her lost love!!

Merily, way to fend off the 'would-be' robber! Maybe you could teach us a Defensive Class at BL next summer!

Okay... first off ... Joe is SO NOT to blame for this one! (I think a certain little Pd is going to be getting a beating;-) You totally discriminated yourself… when you said mom turned around to see a man “she’s never seen before in her life”. SHE’S seen Joe! And for real… you did not call my JOE a nerd (only I can do that)!

The whole attempted purse snatching was quite scary! Good thing she used those Martin lungs and killer instincts to fight off such a weasel!!! GO MOM!!!

Very funny Jeff- and Peedster... I just reread and you're off the hook... due to the ending sentence... but still-- you'll have to pay for calling JOE a nerd and shrimp;-)!!! Can you say... swirly!???

lazy r,

It's taken care of. You can now leave all the comments you like on The Drury Report. After reading through the Martin Clan blog though, I decided to moderate all comments. ;) We Shirls can't be too careful with you Jerrys, Jims, Ralphs, & Carols. :P

Speaking of dirt bags... I'll have to post a pic on the blog to show off my new scuzzy role for work. I'm sure you'll all be impressed. My own mother will hardly even claim me-- well, I guess that part hasn't changed... ;-)
