We are a group of cousins (firsts, seconds, thirds, fourths...) who at our great-grandmothers funeral decided to stay in touch despite the hurdles of distance and lifes business! Through the example of our Great Grandparents, Grandparents and Parents we have learned the importance of family. So may the lines and (typed) keys of communication remain busy! I love you guys!!!

Thanksgiving 2007 was one to remember! Our 11-19-07 8:20AM flight from Philadelphia should have concluded in Billings, MT at 12:59PM -- we arrived in Billings at 11:00PM. During our unplanned 8 hour layover at the Mpls airport, we rented a car and drove to Owatonna to see James & Maria at school -- that was an added and very special blessing in a frustrating day. A raging snowstorm awaited our arrival in Billings. We are thankful for the extra hour in the sky while the ground crew cleared a runway for us to land safely. We got our rental car and drove through that snow storm, the 2 1/2 hour trip becoming just under 4 hours, to finally arrive in Belgrade (just west of Bozeman) at the Musson's new home at 3:45AM. Finally, the fun and sweet fellowship could begin! We filled our short stay with loads of wonderful memories (and lots of good food). Mell and Rick have such a beautiful home (and lots of room for guests). Rick's folks (Dawn & Rick) joined us for the Thanksgiving holiday and stayed on through Saturday. It was such a wonderful time of satisfying "togetherness". God is so good!

Oh yes - we had a great time! Yellowstone in the snow is breath-takingly beautiful, and being together was worth all the trip.
When we finally got to Belgrade, it felt like we had driven the whole way. Jim said he had the same feeling he has when pulling into Bass Lake. We'd been up for 25 hours.
Melanie has the perfect kitchen to prepare for a TG feast - lots of room and counter space. And they sent us home with lefse (yay!) and venison jerky (Rick's specialty - delicious).
Oh, and we did see people swimming where the Boiling River enters the Gardner in Yellowstone! It is warm for swimming year-round, but oooh - getting out of the water! We didn't swim this year, but will next time, no matter what the temp.
Jim and Char!!! What in the world! Did you not realize that a certain "Shirls" is probably the closest Martin to the MPLS airport?!
You could have borrowed one of our jalopy's for the journey to Pills!
